What's Next?

I've taken the last couple weeks off, and I apologize.

Schedule has been a bit crazy, but that's really not an excuse.

My brain has been crazy, going all over the place and back.

Ever have those days, weeks, months or even years?

I feel like my mind has been on a roller coaster since COVID turned our lives upside down and shook us around.

Another excuse?  Maybe.  Or maybe just a reality that most of us are facing and now the holidays are here to add to the craziness, confusion and of course spending...

So I ask "what's next?" but the real question might be what am I doing and why am I doing it?  Even that might be too complicated though.

What if I start by just focusing all my energy on 1 single day.  

Today.

I can handle that but only if I can tell myself, "Tomorrow get out of my head!" and "Yesterday you are so old news, so be gone already!!"

There, now I only have today to focus on.  What will it be?

Ok.  I need to wake up.  Check.  I'm writing this.  

I need to go to the restroom but my twelve year old is in there already.  HOLY SMOKES KID ITS 5:52AM be in bed still!!!!  Check.  Made it and no disasters.

I want to talk about some good stuff with him while I stretch, primarily about math and how fun school is (he's already working on homework for Tuesday so he's got the swing of things already on the school end, so mostly we talked about how to do math in our heads quickly).

Got to workout.  Check.

Shower and cleaned up.  Check.

First patient at 8am this morning, so I have about 3 min to wrap up this email.  Check.

Have a blast seeing a bunch of super duper amazing clients this beautiful and chilly Saturday morning.  About to happen.

Next bday party this afternoon for the kiddos.  Looking forward to it.

The rest of the day...  Love, Care, Serve, Focus on today.

Done.  Just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings but will focus on today.
