Thanksgiving is almost here :)

There is no time like the present.

This goes for getting out of pain, getting stronger, getting leaner, feeling better, feeling stronger and overall increasing our CONFIDENCE.

Confidence is a powerful thing.

It can grow or shrink based on how we approach the present.

I bring this up because now is a great time of year to put our health on hold and focus on pumpkin spiced lattes and all the other fun but maybe not so healthy holiday traditions...

The super duper cool thing about keeping our focus on our health is that it doesn't mean we can't get everything else done OR that we can't enjoy all those holiday treats along the way.

But what does that really mean?

Well, we have two choices:

  1. We tell ourselves that we'll get back on the health wagon starting Monday or the start of next month or after this event or that or a super popular one this time of year - we will wait to "reboot" in January.
  2. We stand up and go for a 10 min walk, do some squats or wall push ups at home or in the office.  We take action today because we know we feel better when we move, and when we feel better we enjoy the day more than we did before.  Then, we go have that pumpkin spice latte we've been wanting all year and do it again tomorrow.  Move a little more, eat a little better, and see the holidays as a time to have fun and get ahead of our health goals.

We may not get where we want to be in the next 30 days, but we can certainly get moving in a healthier direction today.  In the long run, we will get where we want to be, and find out we had a blast getting there along the way :)

Oh, and here are some healthy recipe ideas for Turkey Day.

Happy Humpday!
