I was thinking about this over the weekend: Lions, Tigers and Bears.
One of my boys wanted to go for a walk Sunday morning. There were some parts with pretty high grass though, so I carried him in case there were chiggers or snakes, and the first thought that came to mind was how grateful I was to have been working out. The walk was about two to two and a half miles, uneven and up and down a few steep parts. Pretty sure if I had had to, like in case of an emergency, then I could've carried him the entire way. If I had had to, I could've run with him on my back the entire way too.
The point isn't that I'm in such great shape because I'm really not. The point, on the other hand, is that I am super duper glad that I am a little more prepared today than I was a few months ago to face Lions, Tigers and Bears...
These are the metaphorical challenges we face on a daily basis. There are psychological and physiological lions, tigers and bears, but it doesn't matter which it is so much as recognizing that we can prepare for them.
This means we have control over something.
We can't control the Lions, Tigers and Bears.
We can control how prepared we are to face them.
If you would like some help, then give me a ring. I'd love to discuss any Lions, Tigers, or Bears getting in your way. Low back pain? No problem. Shoulder pain? We can look at that too. The list goes on...
